TechniCapping Rewards and Guidelines/Comments

2 points reward for each new thread

1/2 point for each post

Please do not post comments that serve very little purpose, or do not move along the discussion.

Also, please do not make new threads that would be more appropriate to other sections.

While we want more people to contribute to Technicapping, at the same time we hope to maintain a certain level of sophistication, stimulate constructive feedback (positive or negative), and provide quality content.

Any inquiries into what is considered constructive and purposeful, or banal and meaningless, can be posted in this thread.

To Wit:

Two different types of topics belong here:

1. Anything related to mathematics and gambling
2. Anything related to quantitative handicapping

This could be methods of both technical analysis of in game stats or technical analysis of the sports market or any combination of the two.

Could be help in creating methods, sharing a method, tools to extract data (excel programming) etc.

In short, if it doesn't have numbers in it (or apply to numbers), it doesn't belong here and will be moved.

its natural that topics can deviate and get off on tangents

however in technicapping its important not to get too much off topic/thread title

if it does its better to start a new thread with the new concepts/ideas

reasoning for this, is to have good searchable index

so when the time comes for a search, the particular data/piece one might be looking for is easy to find

if its in reference to another thread topic discussion but goes on a slight tangent

simply link the thread and go in the the new direction

great idea here, and you outlined it great, as long as the new topics are technical

awesome
