Ang's CFL - Week 18
YTD: 31-20 +$1,290
Well, my futures on BC and Montreal are on life support now. Not much I can do about them though...not yet anyway. Jumped on this one immediately: Toronto +8.5 -108, 108/100 I might regret this, but I'm basically playing a hunch here. Winnipeg seems to follow up every hard fought victory with a complete dud. I think this is a perfect letdown spot after a huge emotional win against the Als. It is totally possible the Bombers don't let up seeing as they are going for first in the East, but I will take a shot with the points and hope the Argos can be competitive. More later. GL everyone. |

^^ The Argos are definately improving and they'll have a little thing called revenge on their mind regarding Winnipeg.

The argos are a scary team down the stretch for sure!
I really believe their was a team meeting either held by coach, GM, ownership and discussed that starting from when they were eliminated from playoff contention that this is the start of the 2012 season and lead up to the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto. I think this team is playing with alot of motivation right now because 2012 will be looked at as a major year with that Grey Cup being the 100th and in Toronto and they would like to build some momentum going into next year. |

Thanks guys. Adding this one:
Edmonton +5 -108, 108/100 I might be the only one here who has faith in the Esks this week, and while this is another play I may regret, I think there's a good chance the Esks win this outright. BC is a little banged up right now and the streak has ended. While everyone has been talking about the Bombers and Lions defence as the best in the league, the Esks have quietly gone about their business and now lead the league in points against. The last time they were at BC Place, the game was much closer than the score indicated and Ray put up one of his worst performances of the season. I'm banking that that won't happen again and this game comes down to a FG. |

Well, I was bang on when I said this was a letdown spot. Thank you Argos as my Montreal future has new life! Speaking of Montreal...
Montreal -4.5 -108, 108/100 In the same way that the Bombers were in a letdown spot, for Montreal, it is the exact opposite. This is a chance at redemption. They just watched Winnipeg do exactly what they know they can't. Suddenly they control their own destiny and the East is theirs for the taking. How often does Calvillo have two bad games in a row? I don't see it happening here. I like Drew Tate and think he will be a very good QB. But in only his second start, going against Calvillo, in Montreal...that's a lot of pressure for a young QB. He was good against the Riders, but he also made some mistakes. I think he will have a good game but not a great one and I expect the Als D to capitalize on the mistakes he does make. I think the Als curb stomp the Stamps here. GL. |

Now WPG is playing in the first game of next Saturday's doubleheader...MTL in the second so more strategic capping to come. GL on that Future. |
