BC Lions -5

this is a gift from the gambling gods!

the situation, the momentum, the homefield. Biggest play of the CFL season on the BC lions. this is just ridiculous.

there isnt any sharp lines in the CFL and I believe this season has showed that more than anything will alot of easy lines.

the books are too busy with the big money in the NFL and college football. CFL is nothing to the off-shore/vegas books

What do you want the line to be? Winnipeg, an 8-3 team was a 3 point favourite in Toronto against the 2-9 Argos. Now the Lions are a 5 point favourite at home to a team ahead of them in the standings.

If you like BC, that's fine. But how is this such a bad line? What should it be?

Both BC & CGY Lines opened at -6 and both are dropping. You can now get BC at -5 and CGY at -5.5 right now.

GL with your selection OLGplayer.

with the way the lions are playing on top of the first game at the NEW BC Place. i would make them -7.5 to be honest. you see MTL get those lines.

and in the last 5 games including one against edmonton. BC average margin of victory had been 20 + points.

yeah -5 is good line.

play the eskimos good luck. take the homerism out before you get offended.

Not homerism, bro. I'll probably be on BC.

But it makes you look like an ass when you come on here talking about easy lines this year when you haven't posted a single play.

Good luck.

I don't think Angelus was offending anyone. The line IMO is what it should be. I like the play of the Lions at -5 but I can't see a 6-6 team who has been average at home (even though it'll be back in BC Place) being favoured by more than 5 against a team higher than them in the standings, regardless of what has transpired in recent weeks.

Yes BC has been the hottest team in the league over the last few weeks but Edm is no slouch either.

GL on the BC play as I'll most likely be on it as well.

Yeah, I didn't mean to come off as a jerk. I just can't see this line being much higher than it is...but he could be right, BC could win this by 20 for all I know...

Line now -5.5.

Bombers -3 Over the Lions????

Please Montreal Play Like This Next Week

JML Week 4 CFL

Week 6 Lines / Discussion

i guess you dont really read my posts except for this one. there is a loss in there as well with the cats losing to the stamps. but i have put out 2 big plays this year and this is another one.

I didnt write anything derogatory in the original post, but regardless of overall records, i really believe laying 5 with the hottest team in the league at home is their brand new stadium with double their crowd size against a team they beat the crap out of 35-1 a couple weeks ago is easy.

sure the eskimos are a good team when they are matched up well(e.g my ticats) as well as the stamps but they already dont match up well as ray doesnt get much time against that defense and gets knocked around.

also the lions being favoured by -5 is better for lions better because you dont have to worry about a trap line if you believe there is ones in the CFL. lions being favoured -5 over a better team in the standings would probably bring money on the eskimos.

now that i have overhyped the play, i probably jinxed it

Hey fair enough, if you see an edge, you should definitely pound on it. I shouldn't have jumped on you...I just don't think BC should be huge favorites here.

SportsInsights is showing 92% on BC right now...

BC will definitely be the public play of the week. I lean Lions as well...but with the public all over it and the Esks performances on the road winning games they shouldn't...sure makes me doubt the play.

At least we have a good discussion going this week though...

yeah i didnt mean to jump on you either. just i know you're an edmonton guy and I do the same with the ticats even though they are probably as jekyl and hyde as the eskimos are. i just the O-line having a terrible time with the BC front and ray struggling as he gets rushed in the pocket.

Just with the crowd and the hype of the new stadium. I think this game is also more important to the lions. it is already more important to both, but a little edge there to the lions.

I do see this being the West final unless the roughriders fix the ship soon. stamps are just bad on defense and something is up with burris. he looks horrible at times.

I have found CFL to be amazing this year. I dont think we understand how square the lines we get are. Vegas puts out lines for CFL like they put out lines for EPL or for other non-major sports(non MLB, NFL,NBA,college sports). we also do get good lines for NHL, but CFL isn't sharp at all.

The volume they get isnt big at all. They probably get the NFL network games and that is it. The majority of them cant watch them and to be honest i havent found a TSN online streaming site on the internet. its very hard, so to them its pretty inaccessible.

But we get great lines with added info. Like the last two years, we got great lines on the Grey Cup with Sask and both times covered nicely.
