Week 10 by Chris Schultz
7:30 PM Friday, September 02, 2011
B.C. Toronto Schultz Picks: Toronto: ------------------------------------ Each team enters the game with a 2-7 record, and if one of them can win their next two against each other, they'll be back in the playoff mentality. Logic says that B.C. will win this game considering how well they played in their 36-1 victory over the Eskimos, but that logic doesn't always hold water from week to week. I don't know why, but I'm going against logic. I'm picking Toronto. B.C. 25, Toronto 28 4:00 PM Sunday, September 04, 2011 Winnipeg Saskatchewan Schultz Picks: Winnipeg: ------------------------------------------------ There is truth that the Labour Day back-to-back games favour the underdog at home in the first game. There is also truth that a head coaching change creates a new focus that can make a difference real quick. The other truth to consider is that the Bombers have the best defence in the league. That truth I like. Winnipeg 31, Saskatchewan 25. 1:00 PM Monday, September 05, 2011 Montreal Hamilton Schultz Picks: Hamilton: ------------------------------------------ Despite a 30-27 loss to Winnipeg last week, there are a lot of positives that the Ticats can take from it. The key for Hamilton will be to not look back at their July 19th win over the Alouettes and treat this game like a new challenge. If Montreal did not have all of their injuries in the secondary, I would pick them, but they do, so I'm going with the Ticats. Montreal 29, Hamilton 31. 4:30 PM Monday, September 05, 2011 Edmonton Calgary Schultz Picks: Calgary: ---------------------------------------- Injuries in this game are a major issue. We don't know until Monday morning which players will comprise the top 5 receivers for Edmonton. If they have the same group that they had in Week 1, then I feel they can beat Calgary, but we just don't know. I'm going with the continuity of Henry Burris and his receivers over the unknown that Ricky Ray is dealing with. Edmonton 24, Calgary 31. |

Taking 4 OVERs, eh Chris? I'm not so sure about that. Possibly 4 UNDERs this week.
Why? 4 teams coming off Bye so their D is well rested. Other 4 teams played OVER in Wk 9 so alternation is the safe way to go. I need a few more days ... |

Coming up with ATS and O/U records for him based on his score selections is the stupidest thing ever.

There's actually a couple peeps in here that fade Chris' Straight Up picks and make that their ATS plays. Yes, Ok, I understand your point but I've noticed over the years Chris always waits for the Opening Lines before he publishes or releases his SU picks. Only sometimes his info plays around the spread but his Final Scores for the O/U are too often dead on or +/- 1 pt and that's too close for my comfort. OK then, I won't post them in the future unless someone asks for it.

Dude, the lines come out on Monday. When do you want his picks to be released? That is nothing more than a coincidence.

You probably read/study Chris too lightly or not at all. I see a difference but can't put it into words right now because I have to step out. If you're not into certain stuff that's ok, I might understand that.

For the first few weeks of the season Chris releases his picks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Anyways, this is not a big thing for me...I just glance quickly and keep track week to week and maybe in the future I can do something with it. You will not go anywhere discussing this with me--maybe the ones that do fade him have an answer for you.

Are you guys playing in the Schultz vs the world contest?
I'm ranked 112 but catching up with him. ![]() Of course it's easier just picking a winner on the money line though.

I was but gave up about three weeks in. Your game pick must be placed outside 1 hour before gametime. Learnt this the hard way and forgot a few games afterwards. Hate that rule.
