AAPL or AMZN

I'm planning to wait a few more days, hopefully I can find the bottom of this self off.

Does anyone have any opinions on Apple vs. Amazon?

I'm a huge fan of Amazon and I'm thinking I'll invest my cash in them, I am in my mid 30's and I feel like amazon has plenty of room to grow.

Apple....I don't care for Amazon for the simple reason they are interested in revenue and not profit...long term that is...

In the short term Amazon will bounce back pretty quickly

Not the sexy answer but just take whatever you were going to invest and buy both. 50/50 or 60/40 if you like. Both great companies with huge, ocean sized moats.

I don't follow AMZN but I do follow AAPL and I believe it has further to fall. iPhone numbers ain't gonna be good, I bet you'll be able to get it around $75 at some point this winter.

I like the thought here. I was really planning to go with Amazon. I really think they command the online retail space. Realistically the Amazon web service is where they're really making money.

I agree capainter in the thought that Apple has some work to do. The iPhone is always going to be around. But it seems they're leveling out. And the apple pay isn't going anywhere fast.

How exactly does amazon grow? I mean significantly. They are already everwhere. Moreover they dont make money. Yeah Web services but plenty of other players like godAddy etc. Just playing Devils advocate. Theres,a reason for sell off. At some point a bounce back but not all the way back. Imo

Amazon is the top player in the cloud movement. They are investing the most money, hiring the best talent and have the scale to offer lower prices than competitors. They are really the most innovative and were the first mover which is why they dominate market share

Their margins are even better on aws than the retail services.

Apple is battling innovation at this point. Their last iPhone was a bust it was nothing new. They are facing declining phone purchases y/y and will need to find something else to spur the next growth phase. Holding Apple won't hurt you in the long run but you see these stocks with long periods of underperformance after being market darlings for a few years. It happened to Apple in 2012 too. Amazon has tangible growth and good secular trends behind it over the next few years and that's what I would want to hold over the foreseeable future, also google

This doesn't constitute investment advice
