My take is that BWLD sales are dropping cause their crappy food is way overpriced. But I'm sure the CEO will use this as an excuse on an earnings call at some point.

As an aside, IMO earnings call transcripts are the single most important tool that you have when picking stocks. They not only give you a concise, recent take on the company and its prospects but also let you gauge the quality of the management. When there are too many excuses or 10 minutes of fluff about recent "success stories," run like hell. Listening is even better but is much less convenient.

I ignore such 20/20 hindsight without fail. It was more a comment about the NFL from an unusual angle.

I would start looking into buying some BWLD in December. Not because of the NFL. lol

As soon as Corporations start pointing fingers at others for their own shortcomings its usually not a good sign.
