Anyone have Gallop Racer 2004

I just got my copy. I really wish there was a track announcer, even if they just called out the #'s and not the names of the horses. Anyway, I have gotten pretty good at the closer role, but suck as a front-runner or just off the pace. Anyone have the game and some tips?
