basic horse investing?

where's the best place to quickly get a handle on horse racing investing? I know about win, place, and show but am fuzzy on the other aspects. any sites where a newbie can be broken in quickly?

I know the DRF site does have tutorials on how to read the PP's. As for the names and types of wagers, I'll have to check around to see who has what. I seem to remember the Monmouth Park website used to have a 'Betting 101' section or something along those lines.

My work internet service is very closely watched and a lot of sites are 'Access Denied', so I can do a check tonight from home if no one comes up with any other sites before then!

try these 2 sites. the second one is from the Monmouth site that smooth talked about. Between the 2, you can get some basic questions you may have answered although I am sure there are better sites out there.

good luck

I would think they'd have it covered.
