Breeders Cup Contest Rules...

[Wabash Wonders]

Here are the rules for the Breeders Cup contest this Friday and Saturday.


1. Any Cappersmall member can play.
2. There are 14 races total(6 on Friday nd 8 on Saturday). You will be allowed to place 1 bet up to a mythical $50 wager on each race. You can only place 1 bet per race but can include races in multiple bets(pick3's, pick 4's, pick 6).
3. I will allow Win Place and Show bets to be lumped into 1 bet. So if you want to bet $25 Win and Place on a horse, that will count as 1 bet. That is the only exception to rule #2.
4. You do not have to wager on every race to remain eligible.
5. The total winnings accumulted will deterine the winners. Only winnings will count, you will not be deduced for losing bets, so the more races you place a wager on, the better your chances.
6. Scratches will be treated as normal per track guidlines for all wagers. You will not automtically be given the favorite unless the bet calls for it like in a pick 4 or pick 6.
7. I will post a thread for each race and you can post your selection in the proper thread.
Prizes will be as follows...

1st Place...$100 cash from Betjam
2nd Place...200 reward points
3rd Place...150 reward points
4th Place...100 reward points(donated by WildKat)
5th Place...50 reward points

Yes, you can place any bet listed for each race. Just a limit of 1 bet per race with a $50 bet limit.

would a pick 3 then be a $150 as it covers 3 races or can you play a pick3 for fifty then bet another 50 in the second leg EG: $25 wp #3

A pick 3 covers 3 races, however it is just 1 bet placed in 1 race. If you place a pick 3 bet in race 6 which covers races 6,7,8 you can then also place a bet in races 7 and 8 also. The second and third legs of the pick 3 are still part of the wager from race 6. You have until post time to place your wager.

I have made threads for each race to post your selections. Any post not in the proper thread will not count towards the contest. Also, be sure to check your numbers when posting so you have them right. If you post both # and horse name, I will go by the horse name. So, be sure to have the right horse if just posting a #.

right, only 1 bet per race using up to $50.

Come on guys, this is not rocket science to understand. If you do not post your bet properly, it will not count. I can not go thru and check every post to be sure it is right. I have already noticed posts where more than 1 wager is being placed. Also, please be clear as to what your bet is.

I was going to post the saturday post positions, but the courier journal has some differences than you on the order of races so I didnt want to confuse anyone.
