Yes ricky, the Oaks is the 10th race today. I believe post time is about 5:45 eastern time. Someone correct me if I am wrong. My original choice in the race after handicapping it was Dance Away Capote, a 15-1 longshot! Unfortunately, she scratched, so my next pick is Runway Model. Sis City is the obvious favorite and will likely jump right to the lead. Unless she gets pressured, she will be tough to track down, but I am hoping for one of the other speed horses, maybe Rugula or Summerly to press the pace enough to maybe tire her and allow a horse like Runway Model to come off the pace for the win. Also, Runway Model has ran 5 of her 12 races here at Churchill, which is only 1 less than the resy of the field combined. so she should feel very comfortable with the track. She also has 2 wins in those 5 starts. I look for a similar type race in the Derby tomorrow with so many speed horse, pace will really be a major factor... good luck

trying to hit a pick 3 on a day like today or tomorrow is just so difficult. Most of the races are so wide open. The payouts are normally very nice though when you do hit. The first pick 3 today paid $405($2) and thats with 2 favorites( actually co-favorites) winning the first 2 legs...

Wabash, I asked this of smooth as well, as the two of you seem to be the hot cappers over here.

When you post a play (i.e. race 8 #4 Personal Legend 6-1) what is your play? Are you playing the horse to Win, Place, or Show?

Also, my book allows for Exactas, Trifectas, and Single Track Multiple Race Parlays. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind explaining the difference between the three of those?

Also, when you post a play as:
race 9 5-2-4

I assume you're playing Horse 5 to Win, 2 to Place, 4 to Show. How do you play this? (I have a feeling it's tied to the trifectas/exactas, but I'm a complete horse novice)

GG...I normally play my best bet plays to WPS, however, if the odds are low I may only play to win or win/place but betting the same amount. In other words, I may bet $10 WPS on a horse, but if the odds are low, I may instead play just $30 to win or $20 to win and $10 to place.

As for my full card post where I select 3 horses, these are my top 3 choices I would play in exacta, trifecta or pick 3 plays. An exacta is picking the top 2 horses in the race and a trifecta is picking the top 3. As far as Single Track Multiple Race parlays, I am assuming thats another term for a pick 3 , pick 4 or pick 6. In those cases you must pick the winner in 3 consecutive races, or 4 or 6...

Hope this helps...

Well, I didn't know what the heck I was doing, so I bet $2 on race 9 #5 Rush Bay to Win, Place, and Show. He came in 2nd, so that's a winner on two of three bets! Thanks Wabash! (If you could still answer the above questions, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!)

Awesome, thanks Wabash! When you say $10 WPS, I assume that means you're wagering a total of $30, $10 on each bet?

Been reading up some, do you typically box your exactas and trifectas or play them straight?

Thanks!
