Smooth,

I just noticed there have been 3 scratches already in this race. The 3, 5 and 6 have scratched. Its raining in New Orleans, so this race will probably not be run on the turf. However, the #1 Northern Air on the inside post could be the one to beat if this race is switched to the main track, so I still like our chances. With the 3 scratches, I doubt we will get the odds we are hoping for though.

1A has also scratched and they will run over a sloppy main track. I am passing on this race, but I like the looks of #4 Ignition (6-1); last out over this course and showed he can duel. Northern Air ran last at Philly which is traditionally a faster track (in terms of calls) so I would anticipate Ignition getting the pace he wants here (half in about 46.0) which may be a little too fast for Northern Air... but with a 5 horse field, it is tough to take a shot.

I saw that. must have missed him when I looked earlier. With the sloppy tracks at both Turfway and Fair Grounds, I may pass a few races today. I did watch the post parade for the 1st at FG and I really liked how #5 I Testify looked...Im staying with him for sure..

Well, so much for that...I Testify stumbles badly, right down to his knees, coming out of the gate, and winds up 4th... I may just sit and watch the races today.

My rule of thumb is to never force the action and stick with what works.
