To me it favors more the WP than those who play exotics. I could be wrong but I think DavyDave had a more profitable WP than I had at a Pick 4 on same races rofl ! But it could just be that it was coinceedental...wont know til we try it a few more times. Most here like the WP or WPS anyways...and am willing to go with it for at least few more times...

i like wabash`s contest that we just ran,it makes you think alot
more on whether or not to play big win!! tickets..
i impose that we keep playing wabash`s version, but add a stipulation
like we did last year..
that is we must wager at least $50.00 on a big stakes race(derby prep)
that runs on a weekend that we are doin our contest..
i also do not!!! think that we should ever be told what to play,or
what not to play here..
i don`t know if that is what jim1701 is implying that we do here,
but it is a bad idea..the track does`nt tell you what to play, and
the two t.v accounts(tvg/hrtv) dont do that either..

i`m sure that`s not what jim is implying,it`s just my opinion..
i really do like wabash`s version,i hoped we could`ve ran this
last year..
but like i said just add that stipulation i mentioned into this version,
or the regular version and nothing else needs to be changed..

jim good luck to you next weeekend,it`s all fun in here
i really hope you/everybody else enjoys which ever contest we
go with

sure bra...wasnt implying that...definitely...when it comes to follow da leader..Im always goin the wrong way! rofl..No..I actually love the difference of opinions and plays every1 has.

(What I was trying to say was that now there is a bankroll "lock" per say...a Pick 4 or exotic bet is harder to accomplish w/o the winnings included as opposed to a WP or WPS...not that we should play a certain type; It is a bit harder to determine now what plays to leave out of a Pick 3/4 in order to keep your bankroll healthy in case ur wrong, whereas a WP you just lower your bet $5 or so...and that favors someone who utilizes that style of strategy over someone who strategizes by exotics....dont u guys agree>?)

For example: Would you rather follow someone like RickyRick who plays $10 WPS and the occasional BOOM!!!! 90% of the time (rofl) or someone say like myself who leans more towards exa KEYs and BOXes 90% of the time? The only suggestion I was making was that others may view this and "change up" their strategy towards WPS betting than exotics.

I like the way we played this week, for the one reason of strategy. I played a couple pk 3s this new way, but I mixed WP bets in as well. It eliminates the $500 on the favorite to show bets that build people's bankroll. More skill this new way

Congrats to the winner. Was out to much this weekend to play. As for the contest. To me either way works i dont care, but alot of turnys i play. You start out with between $200-500 cash of your own money. And play all day any race any track. The race track keeps a running total of your money. top 5 get paid bonus money plus what you made. So when people say that the first turny is no skill. Then why didnt we have people just mopping up. Its harder than you think. You still have to pick the winners. So whatever turny we play iam all game. Just had to give my thought on the subject.

hahahahaha!!!!!!........lol!!!!!!!!!!!! hey it`s all good my man..
i feel honored that you would think about following me in my picks..
hey that`s the way i have always done my horse betting from day-1
my buddy-mark(ninerfan),and of course ripple told me hey do what you
feel comfortable doing, and you know it rings true..i feel comfortable
playin the jockeys that i either know or have heard about..
and of course yeah i have done an occasional exotic here or there..
Even wabash encouraged me to keep doin what i do..
so it`s like keep betting with a pattern that you know will consistantly
take you to the pay-window.and that is why i play the ponies the
way i do.. take care jim,and remember bet the ponies the best way
you comfortable doin..

TAKE CARE..."AND MAY THE WINNERS BE YOURS"!![/B]
