First off, you dont sound like an idiot. The only way to learn is to ask questions. The results I listed are based on my full card selections. All results are based on $2 bets, except for pick 3's and superfectas, which are based on $1 bets. First off, you need to understand what each result means...


exacta...top 2 horses finish in exact order of finish $2 per race

keyed exacta...uses the top selection keyed on top and underneath, using the other 3 horses with it. example selection is 5-2-4-7, bet would be 5 with 2,4,7 and 2,4,5 with 5. total bet would cost $12 per race

exacta box...using the top 3 horses in an exacta box costing $12 per race


trifecta...top 3 horses finish in exact order of finish costing $2 per race

Keyed trifecta...uses the top selection keyed on top using the other 3 horses underneath costing $12 per race

Trifecta box... uses the top 3 selections costing $12 per race

Superfecta($1)...4 horses selected finish in exact order $1 per race

keyed superfecta($1)...uses the top selection keyed on top, using the other 3 underneath costing $6 per race

superfecta box...uses all 4 horses boxed costing $24 per race.

pick 3s($1)...uses the top 3 selections in each race(in case of a scratch, use 4th selected horse) costing $27 per race.


If you wagered every option available these would be your results...keep in mind also that a straight exacta win would also be a winner as a keyed exacta bet and an exacta box, so when figuring results for keyed exacta races you have to also include the straight exacta winners also...
