SMARTY JONES WILL NOT RUN IN THE (PA DERBY)

just what is wrong with this horse?
3 months since last race!

will this horse ever show that he,s great ??

First they were talking about him in the Haskell which they decided against, then the PA Derby which he seems to have a 'minor injury', and the Meadowlands was even going to move the Pegasus Handicap to accomdate Smarty's ability to use it as a prep for the Breeders' Cup. I think we'll see him in the BC, maybe the Pegasus... but with that kind of investment in the horse, you'd have to wonder if he could be done for the year or only has two races left. It's a shame too, since the insurance on him to run as a 4yo would be well over a million, I'd love to see a horse dominate beyond his 3yo season.
