Keeneland Contest...Win Reward Points

The Keeneland meet starts next Friday, October 8th and continues thru October 30th with 17 racing dates(No racing on Monday and Tuesday). I will be running a contest for the entire meet with reward points going to the top 3 finishers. The contest rules are as follows...


1. Any Cappersmall member is eligible to play
2. I will post a seperate thread for each day of racing and your entries for each day will be posted in these threads to be eligible.
3. You will select 3 races each day and pick a winner for each race. No exotic bets, only pick a horse to win in each of the 3 races.
4. Please when making your entries, list the race #, horse # and name of horse. An example of your entry would look something like this...

race 1 #3 Blame
race 5 #8 Quality Road
race 8 #7 Zenyatta

5. All winners will be based on a $2 wager and total winnings for the entire meet will determine the winners.
6. If one of your horses scratches, you will receive $2 for that race, not the favorite. So, it would be wise to check scratches before making your final selections.
7. Entries must be posted in the proper thread before the 1st race of the day goes off. So, if you make selections early and then find out a horse scratched, you can still replace that horse as long as its done before the 1st race.
8. Prizes will be as follows..

1st Place...150 reward points
2nd Place...100 reward points
3rd place...50 reward points

Reward points for contest were donated by myself and Chris.

9. You are not required to make selections every day to stay in contest. Although missing days will obviously put you at a disadvantage so try to make selections everyday.

If we get enough interest, I will also run a contest next month for the Breeders Cup races. I again will donate some reward points for that contest and Im sure Chris will also. Jack has also agreed to donate some prizes for the Breeders Cup contest,so hopefully we can get a lot of interest.


There is no need to sign up or even say you are in contest. Just enter your selections in the threads for each day and you are entered.

Wabash I didn't get credit for the 8th race Wed is it because I used the wrong saddle # ? if so thats cool my fault

I am adding an amendment to the rules. One reason I asked for both #and name of horse was so that hopefully a mistake would not be made by someone when posting their horse. Its easy to write down the wrong #, but normally a person will know the name of the horse they are betting. Therefore, I am still requesting you post both # and name, but if for some reason you post it wrong, you will receive the horse you name as your selection and not the number. I am assuming a person would not write down the wrong horse name by mistake. This happened today with one of Chris's selections which is why I am amending this rule.
