longshots in derby
I like Summer Bird at 50-1 also Mr. Hot Stuff at 30-1 will box them with I want Revenge, Pioneer, and maybe Friesan. Good luck to all. Payouts are big on derby day always nice to see.

Only problem with both of these horses is neither ran as a 2 year old and history shows thats not normally a good thing for the Derby. Dunkirk is the only other horse in race who didn't race as a 2 year old. But at 50-1, Summer Bird may be worth a shot. He is by Birdstone, who beat Smarty Jones in the Belmont a few years back, so pedigree wise the distance should not be a problem at all. Only has 3 races so far but has shown tremendous improvement beyer wise in every race(65,78,99). Has no speed at all, so the #17 post won't really hurt as he will more than likely just drift over to the rail behind all the others at the start. Don't be surprised if he last at first call. But he should be flying at the finish and I would definitely use him underneath in exotics, especially Tris and Supers...
Good luck
