Hi Rex and welcome to the forum.

I haven't decided on the Cup yet as I am waiting on a few sources and their opinions. Overall I think the Diva is way over priced you gotta bet around her because it's just not worth it regardless of the result. I haven't looked into the form of Media Puzzle but you can't look past Oliver with that type of value. To be honest I am no racing analyst but I do have a very good source that has picked 3 out of the last 4 winners.

What ur take?

melbourne cup

I am also leaning elsewhere, looking at grey song has been rallying from far back at shorter distances however, barrier 24 may require a wide wide trip and 2 miles also might be a question. If not grey song then vinnie roe who is in great form. also i read that no horse has won the cup from barrier 7 which is where md starts may be superstition but this race has been run for years.

Yes I agree that Grey Song could be a sniff but I just ain't gonna back a horse in that barrier. Last year if you watch the race again you will see the most amazing run by a horse called Zagalia who came from the very outside barrier. Granted Grey Song likes the weather but you just can't win from that barrier the run has to be perfect. I am sick of one of the favourites wining every year lets hope we can be treated to an upset.

Here are a few that I like "ATM" don’t quote me on this info and the odds are that of the QLD tab and subject to change.

16) Pacific Dancer @ 12.00 Bar/8 - 4yr old with NO WAIT could go well

2) Mamool @ 38.00 Bar/21 - if its start getting even more wet then Mamool could come into play.

9) Distinction @ 12.00 Bar/12 - This isn't my source lol but the Triple J guy who has tipped the last 3 in a row says Distinction. (Just thought I would add that for a laugh) D BEADMAN is riding that horse also

6) Media Puzzle @ 22.00 Bar/11 - D Oliver - nuff said

23) Winning Belle @ 26.00 Bar/17 - Can Waterhouse get her 1st?

The conditions have become very windy and rainy. I heard the jockey for Mummify say that this weather ruins his chances but the odds on mummify seem to have come in none the less. I am still undecided all the hype right now is around Vinnie Roe but I think these conditions could be prime for a long shot.
