New Tote board betting system

For the 2nd half of the Keeneland meet, I am going to post some plays that will require being able to watch the tote board up until the last minute before you can place your bet. This betting system is based on horses that go off at 5-1 or better. Some of you who were here a few years back will remember a guy who used this system on here posting his plays and I thought was quite succesful. However, his attitude was not the best for online forums and he just didnt fit in. But i have used his system on occasion and it has been profitable most times. And at Keeneland where many longshots come in, it can be even more profitable with the right handicapping.

It basically involves me handicapping a race and comming up with a number of horses that I think have a legitamite chance of winning. This could be anywhere from 2 to 6 horses usually in each race. The idea is to only bet the horses selected that go off at 5-1 odds or better. I have been tracking my selections for the first half of the Keeneland meet and it has been profitable, so thought I would post the plays for the remainder of the meet and hope I can continue the success. Again, this system is only for ones who can place a bet as close to post time as possible. You need to be able to follow the tote board in order to do this. I am not able to play this system every day since I work some days. But I will still post the horses every day for those who want to use them and follow the system.

Good luck to anyone who follows along...

For the 8 days if you were able to play every race every day, there would have been 185 bets with a total winnings based on $2 bets of $438.00. This works out to a ROI of $2.37 which means a $2 bettor would have shown a profit of $68.45. I only hope the longshots keep comming in and the 2nd half of the meet is as profitable with this system as the 1st...

You lost me here WW. How many horses are you betting each race? Is this a straight bet or are these exotics?

The board that displays the odds of each of the horses running in the race.

bets are strictly win bets at odds of 5-1 or higher. The number of horses bet each race will depend on how many go off at those odds from the list of horses i post. The key is still handicapping the race and finding the right longshot in each race to put in the mix of horses to bet at a price. In a short field of say 6 horses, I may list every horse in the race, but more than likely only 2 or 3 will go off at 5-1 or higher. Its still all about handicapping the race, but with so many longshot winners at Keeneland, betting the longshots there is the way to make money. So far , there have been 77 races with 40 winners at 5-1 odds or better. 18 of those have been 10-1 or higher.

Today will be the first day for trying this new betting system. I will list horses by number for each race to be considered. Win bets will be placed on any horse posted that goes off at 5-1 odds and higher, or as close to posttime as possible.

Race 1...4,6,7,9,10

Race 2...1,2,4,5,6

Race 3...1,5,6,10,11

Race 4...1,2,4,5,7,8,10

Race 5...1,5,6,9,11

Race 6...3,4,5,8

Race 7...2,5,6,7

Race 8...1,4,5,6,7

Race 9...1,5,7,12

Win wagers will be placed on any horse going off at 5-1 or higher from horses listed.

Good luck to all today at the races...

3rd race will be my last race before I head to bed and get some sleep before work tonight. Playing the 10 and 11 in race 3. 11 was 5-1 when I had to get it in and has dropped to 4-1 right now. Had a $13.20 winner in race 1 from 4 bets. Had 1 bet in race 2 with no winner.

I showed horse 1 going off at 5-1 at the last possible moment...couldn't get down on it in time though. Kinda like the old lady playing 20 $1 trifectas ahead of you at the window....oh well.

that horse was 3-1 when I had my deadline to get it in. Saved me a play, but still no winner. No way to make this system an exact science when betting online since most close 4-5 minutes before actual post time. The horses right around 5-1 can go either way by post...

It figures the first time I post this system it has a losing day. Yesterday there were only 2 wins at 5-1 or higher and had them both but wasnt enough to make it a winning day. Day 8 yielded only 3 winners at 5-1 or higher which means there have been only 5 winners at 5-1 and higher the last 2 days of the meet. In the first 7 days, there was only 1 day(day 2) that had less than 5 winners at 5-1.(day 2 had 4 winners at 5-1 and higher). After 2 chaulky days, lets hope the longshots start comming home again...

Yesterdays results had 2 winners...

Total bets 22

Winners race 1 #4 paid $13.20 race 9 #5 paid $17.00

ROI $1.37
