NTRA Spring pick 3...

Thought id post a thread on the national pick 3 going today which includes the 8th and 9th races at Aqueduct( CarterH-G1 and WoodMem-G1) along with the 7th race at Hawthorne which is the IllDerby-G2. If anyone else wants to post any comments or their choices for this pick 3, feel free to do so here.

My $1 pick 3 ticket will look like this.....6/all/1,3,4 costing $24

The first race is a 6 horse race going 7 furlongs with plenty of speed. I am singling #6 Forest danger here. Top trainer Todd Pletcher brings this horse in after an impressive 9 1/2 length win in an $100K Optional Claiming race where he recorded a 118 beyer figure. Add top rider Rafeal Bejarona and the outside post and he takes this one start to finish...

Race 2 has 8 horses running in the Wood Memorial and this one looks wide open...5 of these(Survivalist,Pavo,Galloping Grocer,Naughty New Yorker,Byanosejoe) ran 3 weeks ago in the Gotham and all finished 1-5 within 1 1/2 lengths of each other. Bellamy Road has won 3 of 4 out of the Nick Zito barn and is the morning line favorite. Going Wild is trained by D Wayne Lucas and is the only one in the field with a win at the distance. Scrappy T has finished in the money in all 7 starts and has Bejarano aboard so has be included also. hard to pick a winner here, so will use the all button.

The final race of the pick 3 is the Illinois Derby at Hawthorne, which is their 7th race. I look for Rikman, who is the only one in the field with a win at this distance, and Greeleys Galaxy to be the pace setters here and either could get loose and go wire to wire. Magna Graduate finished 4th just 3 lengths back 2 weeks ago at the Lanes End and could clean up at the end.

Good luck to all

The key is the first race where I singled Forest Danger. I know you like this horse too, so if I get by that one, I like my chances.
