Off to Keeneland...

Leaving today for Lexington for a few days, so wont be posting any picks again til probably Sunday when Churchill meet begins. Might be back in time Saturday to post some thoughts on Breeders Cup races, but not sure. We will be at Keeneland on Thursday, hopefully making some money...

I didnt get a chance to look over todays card enough to post a full set of picks, but I do have one that I like at Keeneland today...

Race 6 #5 Hoochie Glide 8-1

Good luck to all today at the races....

Thanks for the good wishes guys. Our plan was to stay over another night and come back tomorrow, but the wife wanted to get home today and get the dogs out of the kennel a day earlier. I wasnt going to argue with her since it gives me time now to look closer at the BC races tomorrow. We had a great time and Keeneland is as beautiful as I had heard and more. I highly recommend it to anyone whoever has the oppotunity to go there. For the first half of the day, the beautiful scenery was about the only good thing however, as I couldnt pick a winner to save my life! I did hit a .10 superfecta in the 4th race for $45, but other than that hit nothing until I decided to play a pick 3 in the 6th race for races 6-7-8 and hit it for $346! I gave the ticket to my wife to cash in and it was the highlight of her trip. I even let her keep the money. What a nice guy I am, huh? LOL Of course, she paid for everything after that. This morning we went to Kentucky Horse Park and saw John Henry and Cigar. All in all, it was a fabulous trip and we had a great time, but always good to get back home too.

Glad to hear you had a such a good time. It's always nice to hear of a couple having a great time on a vacation. It is nice to have a wife/girlfriend with same interests. I plan on going down there for the spring meet. On a side note, I'm also glad you can cap BC races. Look forward to seeing your plays tomorrow.

Cheezer, my wife loves going to the race track with me. Our son is grown and on his own, so it gives us something to do together. She wants to visit every race track in the country. Poor me huh?..LOL We are planning on going back to keeneland hopefully for the spring meet also.

Bgh, Thanks for the offer, but being in the clubhouse doesnt interest me all that much there. My wife and I are not the type who like to get all dressed up for one thing, and I enjoy watching the horses in the Paddock area and sitting out by the track, and just roaming around while there. But again, thanks anyway...

Great!! I am so glad that you and the wife had a great time in my home state. I'm not sure what the weather was like, but it probably wasn't to bad. I wish that you would have had better luck though. Nothing like keeping the wife happy!!! Cheers to you.
