Preakness field down to 8...

It looks like there will 8 starters in the Preakness next week, possibly 9...

Here is the way the field looks...

1. Street Sense
2. Hard Spun
3. Curlin
4. C P West
5. Mint Slewlep
6. King of the Roxy
7. Flying First Class
8. Xchanger

The 9th horse is Chelokee. It is still not confirmed whether he will run or not.

The field will be 9 this Saturday, but the 9th horse wont be Chelokee, it will be Circular Quay giving Todd Pletcher 2 entries in the Preakness( King of the Roxy is the other)

I say we have a Triple Crown winner this year! I hope so! Carl Nafsgar is a great friend of my best friends dad. They used to ride the Rodeo in Texas when they were younger. About 7 years ago, his wife told my best friends sister that their horse would "come in". They wouldn't say if it would win, but they said it would come in. I remember betting a little on it to win and played even more to place and show. The horse won by 5 lengths!

Even if Street Sense wins the Preakness, there is a filly named Rags to Riches that may have something to say about his winning the triple crown...I just hope it gets to that matchup.
