President's Day Oaklawn Park

My plays for today are...

R1....$10 EX Box 5-6

R7....$15 Win #9 Tom's Legacy

R9.....$10 EX 9-1 and 9-3

Good luck and watch Hard Spun dominate and has a real chance in the Derby (I think)

good luck Oldman. Race 7 is a very interesting race. Wide open.

good luck Old Man...Hard Spun is definitely worth watching today as he faces his toughest competition yet. The outside post scares me a little as there is some other speed in this race and he may be forced to run very wide in the first turn. If he can overcome that and get the lead he should win easily today. I think this horse has great potential, but he has won every race on the lead so far and propably will win on the lead again today. I can tell you right now, he will not win the derby in the same manner. What I would love to see today is for Hard Spun to not go for the lead and just settle in behind the other speed to his inside and win from off the pace. If he does that today, he moves up big time on the Derby list in my opinion...

Thanks Weaz....Ran a decent race and was third most of the way but I think the fast early fractions may have hurt at the end.

Agreed, I would also like to see if he can come from off the pace. If there is one to watch today I think #5 Officer Rocket could be the one. I really like Borel and Holthus combo and Borel is pretty selective this meet as to what he will ride.

Great call Wabash....Hard Spun broke slowly and was 3 wide in the first turn. He tried to close at the end but was beaten easily by the 4 and my 5 also snuck in to place.

yea, it looked like he broke a little slow and still tried to go for lead and got hung out 4 or 5 wide which cost him like I predicted. Tueflesberg looked like a different horse with the blinkers off. He could be one to watch in the future
