Question for the Bambino

I am curious to know if you have the money that each of the top people would have won. I'm not saying that they didn't win fair and square, just curious to know how much they might have won at the track if they would have bet with this format. Thanks for the opportunity to play in this event, it was alot of fun!!! kbar

kbar, all I can tell you is I came in 3rd and I didn't calculate my score but I'm sure I was in negative money.

Kat, I didnt keep the final totals on my drive but I do know that the only people that came out on the plus side of the ledger in the contest were the first 2 players....Sorry I dont have the totals handy, but as Smitch states he came in 3rd and had a negative total....

I was at +2700.80, but only because I hit Better Talk Now in the 8th race for $2890 with $100 to win bet. Like I said, I was lucky. I honestly thought the only chance I had was to pick a longshot in one the final 2 races, so I did and it hit. Better to be lucky than good.

Great!! Thanks for the responses. I wasn't sure what to expect as far as how to attempt to win something like this. I am suprised that there was only 2 people with positive money. Does that mean that you could have bet two dollars every race and come in third? Oh well, great contest. Another good thing is that Churchill is open...yeah

I came out +77.00 I believe, ironically if you followed my thread during the races, with my $20 WP on Ghostzapper in the Classic, I did better with my Sportsbook betting 10-50 dollars per race than betting $100.
