No Churchill isn't a poly track. Keeneland does and that's why some say Street Sense didn't win the Bluegrass.

If you have access to the PPs from the daily racing form, you can look at the tomlinson ratings to determine which horses are bred to run better over wet tracks. You will notice a number in parenthesis next to "wet" which shows the record for that horse on wet tracks. There is also a turf rating for turf and distance, which of course the turf would not apply for the derby , but the distance would. Keep in mind that just because a number is high doesnt mean the horse will run good over a wet track, just that his breeding suggests that he will.

Here are some of the top tomlinson ratings for each category for todays race...

Wet track...

Any Given Saturday 458
Cowtown Cat 454
Zanjero 435
Hard Spun 412
Curlin 409
Sedgefield 395
Liquidity 391
Street Sense 389
Stormello 380
Bwana Bull 374

Distance...

Hard Spun 413
Any Given saturday 405
Cowtown Cat 395
Tiago 371
Sedgefield 354
Great Hunter 339
Curlin 335
Zanjero 319
Storm in May 316
Sam P. 314

Hope this helps...
