Santa Anita pick six carryover at $413,313 & info

Santa Anita pick six carryover at $413,313
By JAY PRIVMAN

ARCADIA, Calif. - No one hit the pick six at Santa Anita again on Saturday, leading to a carryover of $413,313 entering Sunday's races.
Sunday's card has a number of large fields in which there are several contenders. The pick six encompasses races four through nine.

Following is an overview of those races:

Fourth race - Maiden fillies going long on the turf. Jordyn Macoma and It's Heidi's Dance finished second and third, respectively, in a similar spot five weeks ago. Delizia broke poorly in her one start and now moves to a surface over which her sire excelled.

Fifth race - Rock-bottom $10,000 claimers sprinting. Relative Strength is being brought back at a sensible level after beating maiden-claimers. Tiger Slew just scored an upset against a similar bunch. Champagne Day returns from a layoff for a barn that strikes often a big prices with this move. Several big class-droppers also have a look in this wide-open race.

Sixth race - Maiden fillies sprinting. Clever Fancy makes her debut for a barn that loves to first first time out. Victory Girl was second at even-money last time out. All Aglow also finished second against similar. Del Mar Ticket has sneaky works for a barn that can win first time out.

Seventh race - Starter allowance fillies going a flat mile. Another extremely competitive race. Arch Ability is back on the main track after several rough trips on turf. Gems of Wisdom is racing in good form for red-hot Rafael Becerra.

Eighth race - The La Habra Stakes, fillies sprinting down the hill. Triple Fantasy is a two-time winner over this course this meet. Winendynme is a two-time winner on turf and was graded stakes-placed last fall. Aspen Gal makes her first start since being acquired by Frankel; he won Saturday's Baldwin Stakes under similar circumstances.

Ninth race - Maidens going long on dirt. Fabulous West, Thanks Hajji, Winewomenandsong, and In The Clutch all have run well this meet. Another race where those who can afford to spread will be wise to do so.
