Thumbs down Silver Wagon injured

Another Kentucky Derby contender was sent to the sidelines on Thursday, when chips were discovered in the left knee of 2003 Hopeful Stakes winner Silver Wagon. The Ralph Ziadie trainee finished third in the Feb. 14 Fountain of Youth Stakes behind winner Read the Footnotes and runner-up Second Of June, a horse who was also forced off the Derby trail because of injury.
