Sunday 5/29 Plays

Doesn't look like I'll be heading to Monmouth... and I will be taking a few well deserved days off from the races, I'll have some plays back online for Wednesday!

Enjoy the time off Smooth and have a nice holiday...I know what you mean about well deserved days off from here, LOL. I really love handicapping the races, but it does take a lot of time.

Hey Smooth, Just When I Was Going To See If You Could Take A Look At Lonestar Park For Mondays Races, You Decide To Take A Break. I'm Going To The Track On Monday For The First Time This Year, Lots Of Big Races, Big Name Horses And Lots Of Money To Be Made, They Were Showing The Horses Coming In From New York And Kentucky On The News. I Don't Get To Go Often Enough But When It Gets Into The Hundreds Everyday In Dallas I Slide In And Beat The Heat For A Few Hours 3 Or 4 Times A Week. If You Get A Chance To Look At Any Of The Races And Give Me Your Opinion On Any Of Them I'd Sure Appreciate It ( Maybe I Won't Look Like A Complete Ass In Front Of My Friends ) Keep In Mind The Track Will Be Wet, Not Sloppy, But It Won't Be Fast, If You Don't Get A Chance To Check It Out I'll Understand, If You Do Thanks

Hi Paw.....sloppy is when the times are a couple of seconds off of what it would be because the racing surface is no longer hard. Wet is just that.....wet.....but the racing surface is still hard. The times will be comparable to the times on a fast track. You should handicap the races as if the track is fast. If the track is sloppy, just bet the mudders, no matter what their odds are.

When the track is sloppy, speed generally holds up pretty well... also a ton of scratches can mess with any projected pace scenarios you can think of!

Sorry guys, not looking at any races today or tomorrow... a ton of family engagements and I am loving the nice weather, love taking the kid for a walk in the park!
