Tornado hits Ellis Park

For those who didnt hear the news this morning, we had some bad weather go thru the midwest last night and tornados touched down in Evansville and the word is that half the grandstands at Ellis Park were destroyed and apparently some horses were also killed.

I agree jack. I read an article telling about the damage to the grandstands, but it did not say anything about the horses being killed, but my wife said she heard on TV that some were. Havent heard yet how many yet. Luckily it was out of season for them, so probably not as many horses were there right now as during the summer.

I will tell you what, Tornados are scary as heck. They were all over the place during the Hurricane and caused a lot of our damage!

Hey wabash,

I live just outside of evansville and the tornado was maybe a few miles from my house as it came through... Ellis had multiple stables damaged and some horses killed, injured, and running loose.. I just hope a lot of the poeple turn out ok.. A lot of damage...

Thanks Jack.. Yeah as far as I know all of my family is ok.. I was thinking about you when you were gone for a while with the Florida problems... Hope everything turned out ok for you during those bad times...
