Jack,

A pick 3, pick 4, or pick 6 is when you have to have the winner in each of the said races in order to win. Its possible the way I posted it made it confusing. If you check my last post o Simons pick 4 at Belmont, maybe its more understandable.

To explain it, he has 4 horses inthe 1st and 3 in the second races so if any of those horses wins in each race, he is alive, then he has 1 horse in the next race and 4 in the final leg. Hope this helps...
