who can beat smarty jones? can anyone?

it's unbelievable that this horse is such a heavy favorite. Is he that good, is the rest of the field that bad? Have you seen the prop odds, etc. that are posted all predicated on smarty jones winning in a runaway? I'd like to think this horse can be beat or at least challenged.

1. How many lengths will he win by?
2, Who can beat him?

I personally was not convinced until the Preakness, they way he pulled away in the stretch, lengthening his strides, was quite impressive. I have not seen anyone in this year's crop who approaches that kind of class. Three year olds can improve and regress at the drop of a hat. That being said, I'd really be surprised if he didn't win by double digits again.

P.S. Betting wise I wouldn't touch him, or anyone else, at 2-5. Just gonna watch.

Thanks for an answer Mr. Smitch, looks like no easy way to make money going against this horse. Double digit length victory would be something to see, I still hope for an angle to somehow see a darkhorse somewhere in here hoping he can stay close at the finish and bet "Smarty will win by 5 lengths or less" or something of that nature.

i agree with you guys,this horse is only horse with great tatical speed!!!! in the stetch of preakness,elliot didn't even touch him w/whip,he just put on a jockey thing spinning the whip for the show. my man this horse wins by 1/2 the stetch

Haven't played the ponies in awhile, and this is no claiming race but is there anyone out there that sees Smarty Jones getting challenged? Can I find even one person in this forum who will put $2 on some other horse??????

I guess that extra distance you have to go in this race makes a tremendous difference to a horse if it likes the shorter races. Who could have known? I guess the people holding the winning tickets knew! Anyway that long stretch killed alot of dreams before this. Triple crown tough to win.
