Working On A Little System

I have been working on a little system involving harness races...The system is to produce just 1 Best Bet per track...

I play an equal amount to win and place and double the show bet....My plays are $10 Win and Place and $20 to show...Thus far at my local track (The Meadows) in 4 nights, the system has shown a winning profit with an ROI of 62%...

Here is my system play for Friday, October 3, 2003....

Race 8.....#5 GRACEFUL INTERLUDE $10 WP....$20 Show

I hope I didnt jinx myself my posting this, LOL...

Good Luck!!!

I understand 10 win 10 place (e/w)

But what does 20 for show mean?

Henry, 20 show means I am betting $20 to show on my selection....So I am betting $40 total...$10 Win, $10 Place, and $20 Show....

Well just what I thought, I post my little system and jinx myself, lol....5th place finish for my selection.....

Henry, a show bet means if the horse finishes 1st, 2nd, or 3rd you collect the show payout....Heres an example....

Horse A 10.00 4.00 2.80

If you bet horse A to win you collect $10 for every 2 you bet...

If you bet horse A to place you collect $4 for every 2 you bet...

If you bet horse A to show you collect $2.80 for every2 you bet..

Hope this helps you!!!

Henry, I don't mean to butt in but this is how it works - A win bet means you only collect the win money if the horse wins. A place bet means you collect the place money if the horse wins or finishes 2nd. A show bet means you collect the show money if the horse finishes 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

must be different in the United States then!
in our part of the world a place bet covers 1,2 and 3 (unless the race has 7 or less runners then its just 1,2)
