Contest winner pick 4 tentative results

Mark12 is turning out to be our Tiger Woods, so to speak, with his second straight major championship based on tentative results. Mark won the us open and finished second at the Masters in which he was hurt by the cut rule and took it well.

Mark had 14 under and beat out Yankee at 13 under by one shot. Mark had woods, goosen, stricker and ohair.
Yankee had ohair and stricker as well but he differed with mark by having westwood and clarke. Westwood's bogey on the road hole cost Yankee the win. He would have tied and won the tiebreaker. Oh the road hole. Yankee is cursing it now.

This tourney belonged to JohnnyMapleLeaf until Paul Casey make a 40 on the back nine and had no birdies. He had a triple bogey after hitting his ball into a gorse (sp) bush. I am sure Johnny doesn't like those bushes now. He would have won the tiebreaker if he would have missed the bush and made par

All of the top finisher had all four players make the cut. Under the rule changes, that is to be rewarded. You had 5 strokes added to your score for missing the cut.

1. mark 14 under, 50 voucher prize
2. yankee 13 under, 70 points
3. johnnymaple 11 under, 60 points
4. BT, 7 under, 40 points
5. TWBurke 5 under, 20 points,
6. secondbase 3 under, 10 points.

7. Victor 1 under (had havret miss cut)

THE ART AND SCIENCE OF PICKING GOLF WINNERS
1. CLOSER with CHARACTER. Certain guys see the finish line and cross it and others are destined for second place.
2. RELAXED CONFIDENCE, FOCUS and a HUNGER to win. It's a mental game and their mind has to be in the right frame with a determination and focus. As Harry Vardon said: "To play well you must feel tranquil and at peace. I have never been troubled by nerves in golf because I felt I had nothing to lose and everything to gain."
3. COURSE. Does the course layout favor the strengths of the golfer and does it expose their weaknesses. Previous form can change immediately for those who feel comfortable on a course and its greens.
