Only thing worse than starting Brady . . .

I have Smith as my backup, sitting on the bench.

What defense?
They should be called, "The guys that took the field when the offense left."

A buddy of mine called today, was bitching that he started Brady last night, knew I did too so he thought we could commiserate. Then I told him my backup was Smith and he changed topics out of sympathy.

I already lost my top pick, Ajayi, now my QB pulls a disappearing act on me.

I knew that I'd be making some tough decisions in week two.
I did not know one of them would be whether to play Brady at New Orleans or Smith at home vs Philly. (Sure, Brady LOOKS to be the obvious choice, but he did last night, too. And we know how that one worked out, cost me about 30 points!)

Good luck with your team Sunday, Dr. N.

smith had a career game. It was only his 7th post 300 yard game. Brady had a bad game. Both lean more towards outliers than trends. Start brady.

It's fantasy football and it's week 1. Don't overreact to week 1 and don't chase points until it becomes a trend.

I had hill and gils on my bench and played the pats D. Shit happens you'll be fine.

Thanks for the input.

I had Gils in my lineup, and Tyreek, so that helped offset lost points with Brady. I was kidding about benching Brady against the NO defense (I think.)
Have to keep an eye on him though, like in boxing, you can sometimes almost see it when a fighter's age catches up with him, and they seemingly all of a sudden turn old in the ring. Brady missed some open guys in first half, looked bad in the second half. Protection breakdowns didn't help, nor did losing Amendola when boy genius Belicek let him return punts and get concussed when they were already short with Edleman out.

Good luck with your players today.

And I lose my match up by . . . 1 point (1.69 to be exact.)
It's funny how all the player moves and roster changes, all the strategy, all the calculations and all the play on the field can come down to just one play making the difference.

If the refs didn't take down Seattle D's TD.
If Sanders doesn't drop that pass in the end zone,
or of he got his second foot down on his second end zone target.
Etc, etc . . .

Still, was the most fun I've had on a Monday night game in a long time.
As a newbie, I have to say, I'm liking this fantasy thing.
