You doint have to look much further than Howie Roseman and Chip Kelly. I COULD WRITE A PAGE ON THIS. These are the 2 that put that secondary in place. These are the 2 who let DeSea Jackson go. Thses are the 2 who drafted a 1st round pick who cannot get o the field even when the other LBs get hurt. They put the worst secondary in place, I like Kelly but this guys lack of adjustments absolutely baffles me,

I am guessing you havent watched all the Iggles games this year. Nick Foles was average at best whe he was the starter this year, He made horrible throws was throwing off his back foot and had regressed from last year. With that being said I still thought they woul have split with DALLAS would be close with Seattle and should have beaten washington. They most likely would still be in the same spot as they are right now with or without Foles

chip kelly is the man that doesnt mean he cant improve in areas

if its chip kelly fault they arent in the playoffs

its also due to him they were even close

all coaches swing and miss on draft picks, bellichek more often than people realize too

I dont thisnk Chip is a bad coach by any means. He made the playoffs last year and he took a step back this year losing to a brutal Redskin team and getting beat up by Dallas at home in a game that would have sealed the division. He also regressed this year. He will get better but he had a bad 2nd half of the year and it cost his team

You are right, Bellichek sucks at drafting. He has hit a few but misses on most!

I will join PB on this one, because even before the season started I thought there were some issues that were going to hold them back... So even though Sanchez is probably the immediate issue there, and if they had Foles or another capable QB they likely would have at least made playoffs/won nfc-e... but they were still going to have to address those other issues before they could step up with the more elite & push for a SB.

Arrow Eagles Failure

Weaker QB, system limitations and mainly attrition. The Eagles system depends on outscoring teams to win and maintaining a fast play scheme. IMO its virtually impossible to maintain the integrity of what they are trying to do over the course of an NFL season. It's almost impossible for a team to play at 100% capacity over the course of the entire season. Injuries, disciplinary problems, player selfishness, travel, lack of focus, referee schemes, and other distractions all cause a teams ebb and flow.

I don't see their system as being a Super Bowl threat (ever) because of these vexing problems. You may find a way to overcome some of the challenges that a 17 week season brings but hardly all. The teams that are able to do these things best will likely meet in the Super Bowl.

It helps a lot to have a quality back-up QB when facing all of these elements too (IMO).

Foles getting was definitely a problem, and McCoy just never seemed to play like himself the whole year{ 1300 yards id nothing to sneeze at } that was very quite 1300 yards, you have to start to question whether this whole score fast and then get your defense out there for way to long, a lot of times, time of possession was 2-1..

I don't think you can blame any just one person.Philly won 10 games and missed the playoffs in a top load NFC.

I feel it does have a lot to do with Mark Sanchez, however I think the lack of defense is even a more glaring problem. Our defense had a hard time getting off the field on 3rd down, we kept getting burnt over the top on the deep passes. Our offense was stifled again this year in the red zone. I think if we could play better defense, the qb position would have to take less chances, and the end result would be much better for the Eagles. I too could write a page, lol, but i'll just stop here. just my .02

You can't blame Sanchez, there's a reason he's a backup. The guy to blame is Chip Kelly the GM, Chip Kelly the GM has let down Chip Kelly the coach, all the off-season moves that he made haven't panned out. IMO, PhillyBirds is correct in every post in this thread, he obviously follows this team closely
