It was 12:55 when I hit enter. I went 2-3 anyway. If it doesn't count I'm disqualified anyway and the pool loses $300. Good luck the rest of the way guys.

Guys, just like I've done for the 15 years running the contests I use week one to clarify any minor issue as long as it does not give one a competitive advantage and it's not a blatant gross regards of the rules.

When people join our contests I want them to always know

1. Hate making these decisions but will in a fair manner
2. Know that we will follow the rules by the book and at the same time use a little common sense and fairness in week one while it being a learning lesson for the rest of the contest.

The 12:55 deadline is the first time we've altered our 1pm deadline, partially for this reason so not to be at 1:01 and other reasons as well. It's quite possible it was 12:55 when hitting enter & changed to 12:56. In future everyone take notice and don't put yourself or contest in this position and submit at 12:54 if have to wait last minute. I actually suggest not waiting until last minute to avoid other issues as well.

The plays will count. Watch the deadline. Moving forward there will be no exceptions to this rule.

For the posting 6 games we will do as we always do in all of our contests and count first 5 games posted. This has come up often.

I'm well aware not everyone will like it while some will agree. My job is to be fair, set a tone and try to make contest run smooth as possible period. I promise you everyone in this position on week one would appreciate the decision. I believe people come here for the great contests because both we follow the rules and also try to be as fair as possible.

Week 1 is done guys. Read over the rules just in case. Other things will come up. Please try to let the contest (winners & losers) dictate who wins the contest and not any decision have to be made by me. I'll post this reminder in the week two thread. Overall with the new deadline, Thursday change, later posting times & hurricanes in Texas & Florida I think things went pretty smooth as far as contest concerns.

Oh and standings will be posted by tomorrow this week only due to the hurricane delay. Still have no power but they almost done.

Good luck rest of the way. It's a long season.

I am fine w SeanMac being in the contest. Im sure it was an honest mistake and he was a class act all of last season. Guys, we can all make a mistake and with it being week 1 and with no advantage being garnered by his slip up, I am good w him staying in the contest. Have to be understanding. Also, Jack, I hope you and your family are safe and on the way back to recovery and some normalcy. We endured hurricane Sandy a few years back. Thank you.
