11-3 in the last 4 days of play, hope to continue the profits $$
Colorado at Oakland The Colorado Rockies continue they're winning ways as they've now won 19 of they're last 22 games and are looking to sweep the slumping Oakland Athletics who have 4 straight games. Starting for the Rockies is Aaron Cook who is 7-3 with a 4.00 era and pitching for the Athletics is rookie Vin Mazzaro who is 2-2 with a 2.56 era. Oakland's big problem this season is offense, they're near the bottom of the league in most offense category's. They're batting just .237 as a team on the season, they're averaging 4.1 runs per game and they are last in the American league in hits per game. I look for the Rockies to stay hot here against Oakland and complete the sweep to move to 22-7 under manager Jim Tracy. Aaron Cook who has been lights out in June 4-0 with a 1.93ERA in his last 4 starts should have the edge going up against the rookie from Oakland Vin Mazzaro. The majority of the A's lineup has never faced Cook which points to advantage Cook. Oakland has not hit well to begin with they are hitting just .226 and scoring 3.97 R/9 in their last 10 games vs. RHP. Vin Mazzaro who started the year with some great starts and his ERA on the surface still looks great at 2.56. However, I see him struggling as of late giving up 4ER in his last outing to the Giants who aren't hitting like the Rockies are. The Rockies are hitting .351 8.58R/9 last 5 and .322avg 7.18 R/9 last 10 vs. RHP. Mazzaro is likely going to go through a few starts where hitters are making adjustments because there is a scouting report against him. This happens over and over in the MLB and people wonder why a young pitcher goes through struggles. I think that happens here today and I think the Rockies will get the sweep. The Rockies are a scorching 19-3 in their last 22 games and have gone 21-7 since Jim Tracy took over as manager. The A’s are 5-12 in interleague play this year. COLORADO ML & "OVER" 8 Boston at Atlanta The Boston Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves have scored a grand total of six runs combined in the first two games of this series, with Boston winning both games. Brad Penny in his last three starts make his 6-2 record look more legitimate, as he hasn't been to good his 1st couple of starts. But in his last couple of starts on the rubber he has allowed a total of three earned runs and 15 hits in 16.2 innings over those outings. Boston is batting just .233 vs. right-handers in the last 10 games and Atlanta batting a modest .252 against them in this same span. I see Boston getting the sweep here as the Braves bats have been considerably quite & McClouth is still out of the line-up as is Escobar. Boston is 7-1 SU in its last 8 games when playing on the road against Atlanta Boston is 6-1 SU in its last 7 games Boston is 10-2 SU in its last 12 games on the road Atlanta is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games at home Atlanta is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games The Red Sox are 17-6 this month, as they wrap up their road set with the Braves. Starter Brad Penny has led the Red Sox to wins in his last three outings, going 1-0 with a 1.62 ERA. Atlanta rookie Tommy Hanson (3-0, 3.13 ERA) has allowed just two runs over 17 innings in winning his last three starts. BOSTON ML & "UNDER" 9
