After a 10-2 start to these plays, they have somewhat evenly tapered off going 2-2 my last 4, yet ill keep posting to what i believe in... I told myself i wouldnt play within these mets again after their 11-1 beating against the d-backs, but here i am again in an intriging situation after the zona sweep and a shutout win by the dodgers last night... With what i found out in the pitching matchup this play was too good to pass up... Chasing ??? Some will think so but i am confident enough in my play to grade this game this high....

two teams, both playing horrible with injuries yet they both are still only 6 game out of first place

in late june the mets won b2b interleague series with the twins and tigers... But since then they havent won b2b games, they have lost 14 out of their last 20 gms, 12 of 16 on the road, having trade rumors with jeff francouer, and an outburst last night from certain players after the zona sweep.... There is a lot of turmoil within this team right now.

Tonight they are supposed to be resting both Carlos Beltran and Jason Bay.... To many people, gamblers, and linesmakers this can only mean more problems to an offense that has only produced 3 runs per a game in their last 5.... Personally i think that this can only release the pressure these players are feeling and give this team a different chemistry from whats not been working...

Starting pitcher Hisanori Takahashi has a career 4-3 record as a starter (5.75 era) , he has given up 21 runs in 17.1 inns in his last 4 starts while opponents have batted .311 and scored 25 runs in 12 games on the road... Over his last 3 games opponents ob% is .406 ....not to mention that he has been rocked early (inns 1-3) for 22 runs...

For the dodgers they start Hiroki Kuroda, who looks great this season at home with his 3-3 record ( 3.75 era) , yet he has been just as bad as his counterpart given up 17 runs in 27 inns in his last 5 game starts... Kuroda has continued his terrible july pitching going 0-3 already this season with a 6.75 era in 14.2 inns... Lifetime in july he 3-6 with a 5.61 era of work.... He also struggles in the first 3 innings giving up 32 runs and carrying a 5.72 era in those inns....

As you can see both of these pitchers dont deserve a total set at 8 runs today with the line dropping... Sure there is a lot of run producing talent thats going to be out for this game with beltran, bay and ramirez, but what have they done to help their teams over the last 5 games with an average of 3 rpg for the mets and 2.6 for the dodgers... Not a damn thing

both teams are still in decent contention and with a couple big series coming up after this matchup, i just feel that we will see a little more intensity from both teams "if" they choose to make a run in the standings.... Someone is going to step up tonight against this pitching whether it be ny or la , but another fact i like coming into this game is that the mets bullpen did 16 innings over last 3 games and the dodgers bullpen did 7 innings... I think you can do the math to what i believe this outcome will be... Toss along with fact that the last 4 out of 5 games have gone over between these two teams and you have my total of the month !!!

been that kind of week... boston play shouldve easily won grant that 3 hit performance by wakefield ....

this one fell all into place by last night game and the pitching matchup
