2 Nice Plays

(Play #1) NY Mets at Pittsburgh

Two teams coming in on opposite sides of winning and losing! The Mets are 7-3 their last 10 while the Pirates are 3-7.

In the last 10 games the Mets have won with pitching. They have a combined 3.40 ERA over that time! While the Pirates have lost with their inability to hit. They are scoring just 3.18 runs per 9 innings over that time. This is largely part to Nate McClouth's struggles. He has gone just 4-32 in his last 10 games!

Ian Snell on the mound for the Pirates has struggled with a 8.31 ERA over his last 3 starts. He's 1-6 on the year and continues to have control issues with a 1.56 WHIP.Snell has given up at least 3 ER in each outing vs. the Mets.Snell has a 5.14 ERA at home in 3 starts. Lasting only 14IP with a whopping 9BB. He has a 8.67 ERA at night this year in 6 game starts!

Snell did not have a single quality start in the month of May. He’ll try to rebound from 5 poor starts tonight against the Mets.

Livan Hernandez coming off two solid starts and a complete game! He is actually pitching really well at night in 7 game starts he has a 3.45ERA and a 3-0 record. He faced the Pirates earlier this year with a 6 inning 7H and 4BB with 2ER performance. He'll likely do better than that here today as he has fixed his control issues. Just 2BB's total over his last 3 starts.
Look for the Mets hitters to be very patient against Snell here tonight.

I still don't like the injuries on the Mets but still will recommend this as as safe bet.

Play on NY Mets

(Play #2) NY Yankees at Cleveland

Sowers is just awful he just can’t get guys out swinging. When you get in as much trouble as he does you need an out pitch to keep the ball out of play.
As a starter he has a 12.00 ERA in 2 games starts and he’ll go up against one of the more powerful hitting teams in the league in the NY Yankees.
In 3 career starts vs. the Yankees he has a 5.1IP 3ER, 2.2IP 6 ER, and 7IP 2ER.
The Yankees have played solid ball on the road with a winning record at 15-12.

Play on the NY Yankees

thnx guys,also:
The Mets, who open a series in Pittsburgh tonight, are coming off a 19-9 month of May in which the pitching staff compiled a major league-best 3.34 ERA. Among the leaders was tonight's starter, Livan Hernandez, who went 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA in five May outings, four of which New York won, including a May 10 victory over the Pirates in which the righthander allowed seven hits and two runs in six innings.

Pittsburgh has lost all five of Ian Snell's career starts versus the Mets and the righthander is personally 0-2 with a 6.33 ERA in that span. The Pirates are 2-8 in his 10 outings this season.
