i'll start with this division because all other teams suck. Will do one division a week until opening week.

1. Chicago This squad is better then 2005
2. Detroit. How old is Leyland
3. Kansas City Up and coming but not ready to strut there chit yet.
4. Minnesota No more hump dome no more home field advantage
5. Cleveland You's to rock now they suck

No wild card here

The sox are the best team in this division, Very good starting pitching. I think the sox could be 5 games above .500 and win the central.

True.

There was a lot of radio conversation this past week about Burehle Vs Z and who was the better pitcher. Of course it was W S broadcaster who went heads over heels for MB.

I took a look at the team record when both MB and Z started and used only the money part of the season..The last start in July, thru and including playoff records, for the last 6 seasons.

Surprise, surprise, at least to me

WS with MB on the bump, +1 game at 40-39, which includes his 5-0 run thru the playoffs and his defeat last season.

Cubs with Z, 43-27 and includes both playoff losses.

Definately am curious to see how Twins adjust to the new field. Highly doubt it will result in a 4th place finish with their roster.

Highly doubt a new field will drop the Twins to 4th place in this weak division. They'll be fighting with the White Sox for the first place, I give Chicago the edge because of their pitching.

KC might be better than Detroit.

Burehie must have had a better recored if your bias self only used the last 2 months of the season. And you failed to mention how many starts Zambrano missed due to his puss arm. If both these pitchers switched teams Z's era would be at least 4.50 Burehie's would be around 3.70 wins do not make a pitcher.'

Chibob, how could MB be on the bump 79 times (40-39), and CZ be on the bump 70 times (43-27) in July through the playoffs? Most starters get 35-36 starts per year? BTW I think this years CWS team is worse than last years due to not replacing the 55-60 home runs and 150 RBIs lost in Thome and Dye. They had the most "unders" in MLB last year. I think they can win the ALC, but will look like the 1959 WS with most games being won with 3 runs or less. This is why I think Williams will ad a power hitter before April no matter what Ozzball wants. Look for Dye to come back as a DH if Williams can't find a LH hitter.

Thome & Dye are both washed up this team will be close to last years hr totals. its a better all a round team more speed and better defense and Peavy for a whole year. Last time i looked Dye was still w/o a team Andru will put up numbers just as good as THOME and he can at least play the field if needed. I think im missing something 50 less Hrs.

The reason Dye has no team is a matter of $$$$ not ability. Once he sees he won't get big bucks he will sign with the CWS as a DH. He has the best HR & RBI numbers the last 5 years if any OF. IMO Thome will have more HRs than anyone on the CWS this year. Andrew Jones gained 40 lbs and played his way out of baseball. He came back and couldn't hit .200. He is the one who is washed up IMO. The 50+ HRs were the total by Thome & Dye last year. Without signing Dye, no 2 CWS players will total 55 HRs and 160 RBIs this year IMO. I do hope your right and they Win it all.

RDA, this should explain it..see my post

RDA, you are one of those down to earth W Sox fans..no homerism, just the facts.

BTW, CBS online baseball guy has a report Peavey is on his knees, blowing Kenny and for payment he just wants AG from SD. One of the players involved is rumored to be Bacon, but I doubt that. Kenny would have to clear out the cupboard to get AG and then pony up tons of $$ to him. Meantime, Bacon works for peasant wages for 6 years, as will the top players in their system.

AG, probably, ....no, not probably..he is #2 behnd Albert in NL, and no one close to him. JMHO

If they figure a way to get him, and keep Bacon..along with the pitchers..nice

But Danks or Floyd has to go in the deal

Gotcha chibob, I missed the 6 years part of your post. Your right, I am just a realistic CWS fan and not a homer. I think Williams could get AG for a package with Floyd, Hudson, and two prospects along with a lot of Peavy's influence. I would make this deal as I would rather have 40+ HRs and 100+ RBIs than 15 Wins. I would not trade Bacon for one more year. If his BA (-60 points) crash the last half continues this year I would trade him in July while he still has value. So far he has been a "once around the league" player. He better adjust quick...You are the straightest shooting Cub fan I know....Don't change.
