Hardly anyone throws 200 innings anymore and all these guys are wearing down the stretch anyways.

Verlander might be the only guy making everyone of his starts and getting stronger as the year goes on.

Even Kluber had a month off earlier in the season.

Most of em are 6 innings and done. Invention of the 5 man rotation and now its routine for a guy to pitch with 5 or more days of rest and they still wear down.

Its like training a race horse to run a mile when the race is 1.5

I think ligaments get shredded now and shoulders torn apart because these kids start pitching at 9 years old and playing year round.

Sure now everyone can throw 95+ but there is 0 durability.

Dodgers babied Kershaw all season purposely to save him for a playoff run and he got injured during the regular season anyways.

Problem is if an injury needs more than 2 weeks to recover from they need to ramp up their entire throwing program from scratch and a lot of time their timing gets thrown off.

PEACE

Ball hits the knob on Chisenhall's bat and Girardi doesnt challenge and its ruled a HBP. Next batter hits the slam. Gotta challenge that call with so much on the line.

Girardi better take this L all on himself. Anything less is deflecting accountability

I'm not sure who the answer is but he needs to go. BUT with this being a "rebuilding season" he isn't going anywhere since they made the playoffs.

Get lead, check
Sale pitching, check
Kimbrel available, check
In Fenway, check

Still lose. Better team moving I guess but Benentendi almost made Hinch field some real uncomfortable questions after the game
