After 2 Losses In A Row...

I'm apologizing to those who lost $$$ on my plays. Although, that brings me to 13-4-1 for my last 18 posted plays. I would take that again for the next 18 in a frickin' heartbeat.

In any event, for Saturday, I really like the Cubs in what is listed as a pick 'em game. Zambrano is starting to come on--his last outing being his best of the year. On the season, teams are batting only .238 against him, and he has a 3 and 1 record with a 3.61 ERA. The Cubs as a team are starting to get hot, having won 3 in a row.

The Nationals on the other hand, are headed south. They have lost 3 in a row, and 4 of their last 5. They send Livian Hernandez to the mound today. He carries a 4.02 ERA, allowing 57 hits and 24 walks in 56 innings pitched. Many of the Cubs have historically hit Hernandez well. Some of the career batting averages are: Ramirez: 400; Patterson: 444; Perez: 304; and Barrett, Blanco and Grieve are all at 400 as well.

I just have a gut feeling that Zambrano pitches a gem tonight, and that the Cubs win this game somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 to 2.

thanks man--I appreciate it. At least my 4 losses came on 2 totals, 1 dog and a very small fave. It's when you lose with those 2 to 1 faves that it kills you. Tonight we root root root for the Cubbies.
