AL Pennant

Does anyone else, no homers included, think that the AL pennant has no chance of com,ing out of any other division other than the East?? Truthfully, no being Sox biased, the 3 best teams top to bottom are in that division and therefore play in the toughest division. And still, all 3 are having good to great years. Not to mention, all 3 have things going for them that didnt in the 1st, major things. Dice K, Ortiz now hitting, Lowell back, Yanks lineup in the summer, possibly Wang, Upton getting healthy, Kazmir back, not too mention the 2 teams that have as good a chance at making big and/or bold moves at the deadline are in the East. And they will both help themselves. Not to say Det, Ana, Tex, Minny ect etc wont. But most likely wont like NY and Boston and even TB nowadays. Not to mention dont have the farm systems.

I dont know just bored and somehow got to realizing the AL champ WILL come out of the East. LAA just dont have the horses this year.

Feel free to bump Bisky come mid-late Oct

there's always a chance.

even if someone agrees that the 3 best teams are in AL East

Det, Ana, Tex, Minny all have enough talent to where they get hot over 2 week period can sweep any team from al east.

even if odds are in favor that the AL champ is from the east, you can't say there's "no chance" for everyone else

just depends on who's hot

Yea Ups, I mean there is always a CHANCE, but IMHO its lamost none unless there are DRASTIC inj or something. LAA are always game, but just not this year, with the Lackey inj and being off, Santana moreso, Esco etc etc. And they were/are always the tough out in the playoffs. Theres talent elsewhere but I dont see a Texas or Det coming close to any team from the East.

And this post isnt to start anything with anyone, just was thinking about it. And seemed like a GOY wager if a book offered it. And for some good talk here

i would say that LAA has to many injuries to really be serious this year, the mariners or rangers are both a year away and 1 quality starter away...if i had to pick one team that could possibly upend someone from the east i would go with the tigers...that damn leyland knows how to get the very best out of everyone and especially in the playoffs...but you are probably right that the pennant will hang somewhere on the east coast...but my darkhorse would be the tigers with decent pitching, good offense, and a great manager...

boise...

I'd give the Angels a chance, and the Tigers a smaller chance, but neither likely........
