AL Rookie of the Year

In my opinion, its one of the following four - 2 hitters and 2 pitchers

Mark Trumbo or Eric Hosmer
Jeremy Hellickson or Ivan Nova

Stats:

Trumbo: 144 games, .258avg, 29hrs, 87rbis
Hosmer: 121 games, .300avg, 18hrs, 75rbis

Hellickson: 13-10, 2.91era, 113ks, 1.14whip
Ivan Nova: 16-4, 3.62ers, 95ks, 1.33whip

I think the 2 hitters are pretty even, I'll give Hosmer the edge as he's been on fire in September, and Trumbo has struggled some down the stretch. I honestly think one of the 2 pitchers will win, and I think it will be Nova, thought Hellickson is more deserving.

Who do you have winning?

4 runs or more in all of his wins except for 1 and that was a 3 spot...wins a game 9-7 pitching 5 1/3 giving up 7 runs...benefits from a hitting team

well being a RHP in Yankee stadium kinda balances that out. All those lefties against him with a 250 foot outfield wall in right field

Nova might have Hellickson's numbers if he pitched in Tampa.

Can't believe Hosmer didn't get a single vote.

I think he will have far and away the best career out of the AL Rookies this year. Him and Ackley are the 2 perennial all stars of the bunch

Hellickson IMO with Hosmer a very close 2nd.

If I had to pick the 1 with the brightest future its Hosmer by a wide margin.

Hellickson. Better ERA, more Ks, better WHIP on a worse team.
