Berkman is a Yankee

This is huge....very huge. And I dont care if you tell me he has a low batting avg.....the guy is an OPS machine and batting 2nd in NYC watch out.

No news on players involved but nonetheless this is big IMO

He will probably DH and pinch hit. This is a big bat in an already loaded lineup. Also makes it possible to give Texiera some rest at 1B. Berkman isn't what he used to be, but some guys seems to step up big when they go from a crappy team to a really good one.

he rejected a trade to the sox! what an ass! screw the yankees what the hell are we supposed to do with edwin jackson? The Yankees are bad for baseball!

This trade isn't so much about the Yankees paying for a player. The Astros are picking up most of the contract and not receiving anything significant in return. Sounds like the Stros are looking to dump future payroll and let some of the youth get on the field.

I dont care about the Yankees paying for anything. I care that 1-9 there is not an easy out in that lineup especially in October! They should walk through the whole thing!
