Betting info: Baseball Bets: Cleveland Indians v. Texas Rangers
At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Cleveland Indians (2.78, +178) and Texas Rangers (1.54, -185)
Indians are 5-1 ATS mark on the road versus southpaws, while the Rangers are 1-7 on Wednesdays.
Cleveland has officially dropped out of the AL Central race in losing six of eight games and falling 12 1/2 games back in the standings. The Indians dropped a 10-4 contest last night to the Rangers and the pitching staff is starting to wear down. “We had a rough time putting up zeroes tonight on the board,” commented Indians manager Manny Acta. “Usually if the other club scores five out of eight tries, that’s going to cost you.” The club is now 1-7 versus the Rangers this year and 4-19 over the last three seasons. Cleveland is 4-8 in September and 22-23 versus left-handed starters.
Indians starting pitcher David Huff is 2-4 with a 3.05 ERA in eight appearances (seven starts) this season and will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak. He has allowed eight runs (seven earned) and 11 hits over 12 1/3 frames over that span. Huff will be toeing the rubber on the road for the seventh time (sixth start), coming in with a 1-3 record and 4.05 ERA. The left-hander tossed his only career complete game versus Texas on April 15 of last year, picking up a 3-2 win over the Rangers.
