Blaze'z best bet tonight

3-1 Yesterday in MLB and today we have a slim card.

3x STL +110

Today i am looking to back the STL Cardinals in Milwaukee were the Cards are looking to narrow the lead the Brewers have built. I like the Cards today for a few reasons.

One this is a playoff type of game. These two teams know that this series is a must win. Also the cards IMO have the better "big game" pitcher going in Carpenter. Im sure most will say that he's not that Chris Carpenter anymore (and i would agree) but don't let a really shitty defense and bullpen (Bullpen = Ryan Franklin) earlier in the year fool you. Also he's definitely turned his season around of late. Now Grienke is good, no doubt, but nobody is going to tell you he's pitching like his cy young self. He isnt and although i expect him to pitch ok; I would like to think not having Rickie Weeks hurts the Brewers alot. Yes they have Prince and Braun and Hart to some extent, but the rest are really nothing big. The cards however should trot out this:

Furcal
Jay
Pujols
Holliday
Berkman
Freese
Molina
Schumaker

I really think this lineup has potential to do major damage. The OBP alone is off the charts. Another good thing is STL has basically replaced their two worst defensive players since these two teams met last and have had Jay and Furcal jump in. Which is a major upgrade from Colby Rasmus and Theriot at SS. STL also added to the bullpen and finally got someone who can get Prince out late in the game.

Another thing i noticed is that these two pitchers dueled back on 6/11 at Milwaukee and the Brewers won 5-3. The line on that game was Milwaukee -135 and today its opening at -115.

Lastly, i know these two teams don't forget anything and the Cardinals got swept in that series in June. I look for them to come out firing today and take game one of this battle for first in the Central.

1x Philly / Colorado 08

I like this one too. We all know this Philly lineup is loaded and putting it in coors should be fun. I think they could get 5+ easily. Hamels in Coors doesnt seem like a sure thing. He was jacked the last time he was there. The only problem is this Rockies team (at the moment) isnt anything dangerous. Still i think they can scrap up 3-4 runs easy. I think this one goes over somewhere in the middle of the game.

Probably add something later tonight.
