experience , yes .... but thats really it. i am not saying this cause its the red sox either, just dont see it working. and i hope im right

It's not like Girardi is better. You have a handful of managers that I would want on my team, but they are few and far between.

I would of liked the Sox to clean house and start fresh, but that's not what they did. I really hope Cherington is just as good if not smarter than Theo.

valentines first year as a manager with the rangers and then the mets, his average is improving from the previous year, +21 wins

and that was with a lot less relative talent than he will have now

hes also a lot more intense disciplinarian, exact opposite of what francona was

what those big ego players needed because at the end they ran over francona

also a big ego/personality that can handle the rough boston media

as a yankee fan I gotta admit great not good hire

The problem with Bobby V. is that a lot of current Red Sox players simply do not like him. This is a tough way to start.
