Brewers v Twins – betting info

At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Milwaukee Brewers (1.86, -116) and Minnesota Twins (2, Even)

Brewers are 7-0 versus the AL Central
Twins are 1-8 in Liriano's last nine starts versus winning teams

Milwaukee continues to dread life on the road after getting swept by the New York Yankees in a three-game series and now heads off to face Minnesota over the weekend. The Brewers were outscored 22-4 by the Bronx Bombers, but don't feel like they were overmatched. "It's not that if we played 40 games against them, they would beat us in 35 of them," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke stated. "But in this series? There's no doubt about it, they were better." The club has every reason to remain confident and may have three players start in the All-Star game next month for the first time in franchise history. Milwaukee is 8-10 against left-handed starters this year.

Brewers starting pitcher Yovani Gallardo is 9-4 with a 3.92 ERA in 17 starts this season and will be making his second straight start against the Twins. The right-hander earned an 11-1 win last Saturday at Miller Park, giving up a single run and six hits over seven frames. In fact, Gallardo is a perfect 2-0 with a 2.05 ERA in three career starts versus the Twins. Milwaukee is 10-7 this season when he is on the mound.

Minnesota finished June with a 10-2 record at Target Field, including two straight victories over the Dodgers to close out a three-game series. "Winning two of three after getting blown out in the first one is a nice way to come back," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire stated. "Proud of the guys, so we'll go from there." The Twins have won 25 of their last 35 series against National League opponents and have tallied a 67-38 record in interleague play since the 2006 season. Minnesota is 21-34 versus right-handed starters this season.
