Burnett on three days not the answer

you dont pitch a power pitcher on three days rest you thorw Gaudin against Lee and then setup Burnett and Sabathia. See if you can bet this series to g seven great odds and its gonna happen

when you got a fighter dazed, you knock him out, you don't let him get back up.

also burnett is 3-0 with 1.9 ERA on 3 days rest. why not throw him out there?

Disagree. Why waste time with Gaudin when the guy hasn't started a game in about a month. Worse case they lose and go back to NY with Andy P and CC needing to win 1 game.

could not agree more. You go for the knockout punch. 3 days rest. Who gives a chit ? It's the World Series. He'll have all winter to rest up.

Seth: Fogell, this ID says that you're 25 years old. Why wouldn't you just put 21, man?
Fogell: Seth, Seth, Seth. Listen up, ass-face: every day, hundreds of kids go into the liquor store with fake IDs, and every single one says they're 21. Pssh, how many 21 year olds do you think there are in this town? It's called f*cking strategy, alright?

I can see each sides point of view. I'm 50/50 on Burnett starting Game5. I think Harold Reynolds said it would be better to start Gaudin in Game5, its like playing with house money (I'm probably misquoting). That's why I'm not an MLB manager. If you put a gun to my head, I would start Gaudin. If Burnett loses tonight, Yankees have Andy then CC. Out of those three, IMO Burnett is more of a lights out pitcher then Andy and CC. I'm not worried about Burnett short days rest, but why waste a very good arm against Cliff Lee? Throw a garbage arm against Cliff Lee. If Yankees lose tonight, I can see a Game7 easily. And CC will be very hittable in Game7 (if necessary). If Gaudin loses tonight, then you have Burnett vs Hamels at Yankees stadium for Game6. Game, set, match! Andy vs Hamels in Game6 is a toss up. I'm sure 2004 still lingers in the clubhouse and especially in the fan's mind. That's why people are saying go for the knockout. It's hard to knockout a team that fights till the end like the Phillies and especially Cliff is on the mound. Save your best for another day. I guess the Yankees are really treating every game as a Game7. Sorry for my long rant.

F**K CLiff Lee... Yankees +140 (homer play) =P.

How can you not start Burnett tonight?

The Yankees know if they pitch Burnett, Pettite & Sabathia, they win the WS period.
