Bye bye ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

To the Marlins with cash, for Volstad

Ozzie's got his countryman. Had Boston not signed Silva, Ozzie may have taken him also. Then yhey could play the Venzuelan National Atmem before the siestas in Miami

Marlins are going to implode if things don't go right early. This team is full of head cases starting with Ozzie. Have to admit, though - don't usually care much about the Marlins and people been talking about them all offseason.

Volstadt has good stuff, don't know what happened to him

He is younger than Z by 4/5 years..Cubs going nowhere and if they can get 2 awesome young players, Garza goes. They are just looking for players to get by the next two years, when they hope some recent draft choices are ready.

You will have fun with Ozzie. He will keep everyone tuned to the postgame shows..a few ****s here and there, some in Spanish and the writers will have reasons to get out of bed

Who cares man its the Cubs, not Oakland. Cubs, Phillies, Yanks, Mets & Red Sox should never rebuild. The people come out and the TV deals are huge.

Its a good deal for the Cubs because the guy had to go and they found a taker so I agree with that much. Rebuilding I disagree with....I think Garza is part of anyone's solution, not the problem.

PEACE

Never said Garza was a problem. He is an asset, but not with the team as it stands. Easy for one to say the Cubs should never rebuild, but the foundation had huge cracks and Hendry wasn't sharp enough to fix them. If in 2/3 years, the Cubs are still a POS, your comment would have meaning. The new owner has a plan, and it is something new regarding the Cubs. It wasn't the money saved, it was the "Peace" in the locker room that was important.

Time will tell

I think Zambrano + Guillen = Disaster

NL East will feast on him... saves Cubbies a ton of money

Good move for Chicago

Pads send Rizzo and Cates to Cubs for Cashner and a minor leaguer.

Theo really likes Rizzo

So, Cubs now have 23 year old 1st sacker, 19 yr old second baseman, 21 yr old rapist at Short and I forgot "who's on third" LOL

hoyer is a huge fan of rizzo so no surprise there. i think rizzo will eventually become a decent player. just needs a little more experience. i doubt that he'll be with the cubs to start the season.

i like the cashner pickup
